JOB VACANCY

Job Title: Housing Assistance Technician (Full-Time and/or Part-Time)

The Housing Authority of the City of East Orange is currently accepting applications for the position of Housing Assistance Technician.  This position reports directly to the Housing Choice Voucher Program Manager.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Working Knowledge of basic math computation.

  • Understanding and working application of Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication and written skills.

  • A minimum of (2) years of progressively responsible work experience for a public housing agency (Public Housing Program or Housing Choice Voucher Program)

  • Software knowledge a plus.

CONCORD TOWERS AND VISTA VILLAGE PRE-APPLICATIONS
Opened at 9:00am Eastern on December 27, 2019

The Housing Authority of the City of East Orange is now accepting pre-applications for Concord Towers and Vista Village. The applicants must be Seniors (Nearly Seniors with at least 55 years of age or Disabled with at least 18 years of age.)  The waiting list will be closed once we obtain
500 pre-applications for Concord Towers and 800 pre-applications for Vista Village.

The 500 application confirmation numbers listed were selected through a random computer draw. The random draw was conducted by an independent, third-party software company.

If your confirmation number is listed, then your name has been placed on the Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List. If your confirmation number is not listed, then your entry was not picked in the lottery, and your name cannot be placed on the Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List.
